Javascript snow

In the early years when I began to work on the web were not many technical devices with which to impress visitors.
DHTML effects were the only element to enrich the pages.

In this context, a classic used by thousands of sites was the snow in the winter months.

It was the script of several tens of KB, the effect certainly pleasant, but often crash the browser due to a continuous overlapping of layers, one for each new generated snowflake.

Still browsing the web I just found these old scripts, or some old-fashioned revival always very heavy.

Why not create something light that does not slow down page loading which does not send saturating the resources of the browser and as you can not annoy the reader?

And 'what I just tried to do.

The script is tested on newer versions of popular browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc..) But I do not guarantee backward compatibility with older browsers 3-4 years, in that case it does not work if the problem is not the script but the failure to update it's time to do ... :-)

If you want to use the script or write it well to those who need it. The only courtesy to leave intact the portion that indicates the source.

The options are well documented, just edit the variables at the top of the script.

  • Speed with which they move;
  • Maximum size of the flakes;
  • Minimum size of flakes,

Symptoms H1N1 - Swine flu

I wondered what were the H1N1 flu symptoms .. If only because last night I'm in bed with high fever and sore throat.

I'd like to know if I have the phantom Influenza A or is a simple pharyngitis.

All in all I'm not really bad at this moment I have 38.3 of fever, but I can sit and write.

Looking at the website of the Ministry of Health have found that:

The symptoms of a new human influenza virus A (H1N1) are similar to those of "classical" seasonal flu and include fever, drowsiness, loss of appetite, cough. Some people have also experienced a cold, sore throat, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.
In particular, influenza A (H1N1) is a condition called acute respiratory abrupt and sudden onset with fever of about 38 ° or greater, accompanied by one of the following symptoms:

  • headache;
  • general malaise;
  • sensation of fever (sweating chills);
  • asthenia (weakness);

and at least one of the following respiratory symptoms:

  • cough
  • sore throat (sore throat)
  • nasal congestion

I would say that practically have the same symptoms of sore throat, I've got almost all (mullets aside) and this time we had them almost all colds in the past.

It seems almost impossible to distinguish between colds and flu. I just hope to get back by Saturday :-)

Google gives the bread crumbs

Breadcrumbs or bread crumbs make their debut in Google SERP.

For some results, relevant sites rather than the url of the page is replaced with links to sections hierarchically superior to the result.

Google Briciole di Pane

Almost trite to ask how the algorithm that generates these links.

Surely there are two components:

  • monitoring site traffic;
  • strength in terms of pages and pagerank TrustRank;

It is also conceivable that some well-known platforms, such as those for the forum, to facilitate the work.

What else?

Sony Exmor sensor

Exmor is the name of Sony's latest technology for CMOS image sensors.
Its main feature is the noise reduction, especially in low light conditions thanks to backlit sensor.

The new system also directly on the chip implements the analog / digital conversion and noise reduction in two steps on each column of the CMOS sensor.

Honestly I am very intrigued. Sony, after acquiring Konica-Minolta is showing in recent years of wanting to reach senior positions in the field of digital photography and new technology that many are trying to copy is certainly a coup.
